Colorful end to ATMOS-Tech Fest at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The three-day annual technology fest ATMOS of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad, concluded on Sunday with live performances of singer Arjun Kanungo and Mumbai- based alternative rock outfit the Anand Bhaskar Collective. The tech fest, which had ‘Telangana Today‘ and ‘Namasthe Telangana’ as the media partners, featured a slew of technical events including student-led workshops on cutting-edge tech topics including rocket science, ML, AI, robotics and business analytics. Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (now Bharat Rashtra Samithi) is all set for a resounding victory and to retain power in the State after the Assembly elections in 2023, according to multiple surveys conducted across Telangana by different organisations. CM KCR to inspect Yadadri thermal plant on Monday

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will inspect the construction works of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station on Monday. The project is likely to be commissioned in September next year. The 4,000 Megawatt power station, billed the biggest thermal plant in the public sector so far, is coming up in Damarcherla mandal of Nalgonda at an estimated cost of Rs 29,992 crore. Officials expect that once the project was commissioned, Telangana would no longer have any power deficit. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged the contract for the construction of the super critical plant, which will have five units of 800 MW each. Hyderabad: In a tragic incident in Telangana‘s Warangal town, an eight-year-old boy died after choking on a chocolate his father brought him from abroad. The chocolate stuck in Sandeep Singh’s throat. Four Maoists killed in exchange of fire in Chhattisgarh

Kothagudem: Four Maoists, including two female cadres, were killed in an exchange of fire between security forces and naxals in Bijapur district of the neighbouring Chhattisgarh State on Saturday. The exchange of fire took place in the morning hours when a joint search operation by District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF) and CRPF personnel was carried out in the forests of Pomra area under Mirtur police station in the district.
