Attack on Owaisi in UP: SC quashes HC order granting bail to two accused

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday quashed an Allahabad High Court order granting bail to two men accused of firing at AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi‘s vehicle in February this year and gave them one week to surrender. A bench of Justices M R Shah and M M Sundresh said the high court did not accord any reason while giving bail. The apex court remanded the matter back to the high court for fresh consideration and directed Sachin Sharma and Shubham Gurjar to surrender before the police within a week. The top court also directed the high court to decide the bail applications of the two accused within four weeks from the date of surrender. Hyderabad: Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali inaugurated the Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) Convention Centre, in the presence of Director General of Police (DGP) M.Mahender Reddy, at Yousufguda on Thursday. The 1000-seating capacity convention centre spread over 2 acre site at the TSSP first battalion, was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.8 crore. It has a parking space which could accommodate about 1,000 vehicles. TS govt constitutes committee for framing children safety, security guidelines in schools

Production stalled after ammonia pipeline leakage in Ramagundam fertiliser plant

Peddapalli: Urea production in Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) has been stalled due to a leakage in the ammonia pipeline. The leakage was noticed in the pipeline supplying ammonia to the Urea plant from the Ammonia plant on Wednesday evening. RFCL officials halted production and have started restoration works. Telangana health dept to launch 41 more Basthi Dawakhanas in Hyderabad by December

Hyderabad: Continuing its efforts to make quality healthcare services accessible to the urban poor, the State health department is on target to launch 41 more Basthi Dawakhanas in Hyderabad by this December. The 41 additional Basthi Dawakhanas, which will take the total number of such facilities to nearly 300 in Hyderabad, are part of the overall plan of the State government to launch at least 288 such facilities in 141 municipalities across Telangana in the next few years.
