      Hyderabad: Two held for theft of 432 phones from showroom

      Hyderabad: Two men from Jharkhand have been arrested by police for theft of 432 mobile phones from an electronic showroom on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Rachakonda Police on Thursday announced the arrest of two members of notorious inter-state gang ‘Alam gang’ while search was on for four others who were absconding. With these arrests, police claimed to have solved the case relating to the theft which was committed on the intervening night of September 20 and 21.       Rains likely to lash Hyderabad on Thursday; IMD issues yellow alert

      Hyderabad: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that Hyderabad will witness rainfall today. Apart from it, it also forecasted that thundershowers at times intense spells are expected.       Moderate to heavy rain likely in Hyderabad on Thursday

      The State capital is likely to receive moderate to heavy rain on Thursday under the influence of an associated cyclonic circulation lying over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighbourhood at lower tropospheric levels. A yellow alert has been sounded in Hyderabad warning of “fairly widespread-widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning.” According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), all localities in the city are likely to receive moderate rainfall (15.60 mm to 64.40 mm) till Friday morning while Quthbullapur and Alwal are expected to witness heavy downpour (64.50 mm to 114.50 mm).       Hyderabad: The ‘Thai’ variety of guava prices came down to Rs. 150 a kg in the city. A few months ago the price was Rs. 200 a kg a kilogram. The ‘Thai’ variety of guava is not imported from the eastern countries. It is a locally grown fruit in Bengaluru and its surroundings.
