      Telangana logs 73 new COVID-19 cases

      Hyderabad: Telangana on Monday recorded 73 new COVID-19 cases, taking the overall caseload to 8,38,108. Hyderabad district reported the highest number of cases with 43. A COVID-19 bulletin said 94 people recuperated from the infection raising the cumulative number of recoveries till date to 8,33,388. The recovery rate rose to 99.44 percent. No fresh fatality occurred due to the infectious disease and the death toll continued to be 4,111. The bulletin said 7,378 samples were tested on Monday. The number of active cases was 609, it said.

      Hyderabad Traffic police intensify operation ROPE

      The 25 traffic units of Hyderabad traffic police conducted the drive across the city and a fine of Rs 3,65,000 was imposed on 472 motorists and 18 establishment owners for traffic violations as part of ROPE operation.       Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Friday raised the reservation for Scheduled Tribes (ST) by 4 per cent in the state’s educational institutes and government services with immediate effect.       Hyderabad: Women drug peddler nabbed with huge quantity of ganja

      Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police apprehended a drug peddler with 44 kg ganja from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in the city on Friday. The woman was apprehended at platform no 58 of Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station under Afzalgunj police station. According to Hyderabad Police, Laxmi Bai, the apprehended woman, was transporting and supplying Ganja to customers at Parbani, Maharashtra.
