Telangana: Graduate woman bags 4 job opportunities with KTR’s help

Hyderabad: An orphan girl who was offered four job opportunities, after she completed her graduation with the help of IT Minister KT Rama Rao, expressed her gratitude and tied rakhi to him on Monday. According to a press release, three years ago Rudra Rachna had suffered a shortage of funds to cover the costs of her hostel and college had sent out a plea on social media calling for help. Following this, IT minister KTR reached out to the woman and offered to cover the cost of her studies and quarters. Hyderabad: City-based mental health venture Artlexic in collaboration with Goodmind on Sunday organised FEEL, a mental health awareness program at the city’s Qutb Shahi tombs. ‘Allow kids to carry peacock feathers’, KTR to KBR park officials

Hyderabad: Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao requested KBR National park authorities to allow children to take away peacock feathers found lying around the park. The request came after the mother of a five-year-old wrote a letter to the IT minister complaining that when she took her son to KBR park, he collected peacock feathers that were lying on the grounds but park authorities took them back from him, acting as per the provisions of the Forest Act. Hyderabad: Nagole flyover works soon to be completed by GHMC

Hyderabad: The construction of the flyover in Nagole is in its final stages, said the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Monday. The proposed flyover in Nagole will make it easy for those travelling from LB Nagar to Uppal and from there to Warangal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts or Secunderabad and ECL areas without any disruption to the main traffic. The proposed plan details a 200 feet, two-lane flyover with a width of 24 meters and 6 lines of bi-directional carriageways. It will have 23 pillars and a 600 meters viaduct of 22 spans position with 300 meters approach length. Telangana: Renewable energy capacity rose from 70 MW to 5400 MW

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation’s (TSREDCO) Chairman, Y Sathish Reddy, stated that the capacity of renewable energy in the state has climbed to 5400 MW. He also said that the capacity was a mere 70 MW in 2014. Reddy announced the rise in renewable energy at ‘Investment Bazaar for Energy Efficiency,’ which was held on Monday by TSREDCO. The event was carried out to bring all stakeholders to one stage and share best practices in energy efficiency and financing options for energy efficiency projects. TSRTC launches bus service from Hitech City to Hyderabad Airport

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has started a bus service from Shilparamam at Hitech City to Hyderabad Airport. The bus will be leaving Shilparamam every 30 minutes between 4:30 am and 10:30 pm daily. Hyderabad: Is HMDA going to privatise ORR for 30 years?

Hyderabad: The Outer Ring Road (ORR) which is an 8-lane ring road expressway encircling Hyderabad is likely to be leased out to a private player for 30 years. According to a report published in DC, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is exploring options to lease out ORR to raise a revenue between Rs. 4000 crores and Rs. 6000 crores. At present, Eagle Infra India Limited is collecting tolls and remitting them to HMDA. In 2019-20, the development authority got Rs. 351 crores whereas, in 2020-21, it received Rs. 310 crores. Hyderabad: HMDA begins beautification of NTR Marg, other areas

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has initiated the beautification of the NTR Marg among other areas alongside Hussain Sagar. The 800-metre stretch from the Indira Gandhi statue circle in Khairatabad and Lumbini Park are also set to get a makeover. The HMDA plans to replicate the Tankbund look at Hussain Sagar ahead of the Formula E race scheduled for February 2023. Formula-E is the second biggest World Championship race. As part of the beautification works, the existing footpaths, dustbins and kerbstones on the stretch will be removed and shifted to C&D plants. T Usha Bai, wife of BJP MLA T Raja Singh, on Sunday met the Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan requesting to intervene and instruct the State government to squash the PD Act invoked against him and ensure that he is released from the prison to serve the people in his constituency.
