Telangana Assembly adjourned till September 12
Hyderabad: The monsoon session of the Telangana Legislative Assembly which began here on Tuesday was adjourned till September 12 after condolence motions were adopted mourning the death of ex- legislators in the recent past. Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy adjourned the House till September 12 soon after conducting the condolence motions. The members observed silence for a while mourning the death of former MLAs Mallu Swarajyam, who had represented Tungathurthi Assembly constituency and Paripati Janardhan Reddy, who was elected from Kamalapur Assembly constituency. Computer Science, IT courses top choice for students in TS EAMCET 2022
Computer Science and IT related courses continued to be top choices for students in engineering at the undergraduate level. While 41,506 seats in these courses were up for grabs through the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022 first phase admission counselling, 98.49 per cent of these have been allotted. The seat allotment for TS EAMCET 2022 first phase counselling was released on Tuesday. In the Computer Science and IT category, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Business System, and Computer Science & Engineering courses recorded 100 per cent seat allotments. Fever test conducted in 422 households in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: As part of the Fever Test initiative launched here by Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi, the process of Asha workers collecting blood samples from people with fever was taken up. The programme was held in NBT Nagar, Banjara Hills and the focus was on areas where Dengue and Malaria cases were reported previously. The fever test was held in 422 households and 2,110 persons were tested. Among them, seven persons were referred to the nearest Primary Health Care Centre and a Dengue test was done on seven people and all of them tested negative, said Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in a press release. Meanwhile, the Mayor distributed safety kits to the staff working in the Entomology and Sanitation wing of the GHMC.

Innovative app SeekoG launched in Hyderabad

NMC allows academic mobility programs for Ukraine returned Indian students
Hyderabad: In a major relief to Indian students who were pursuing MBBS courses in Ukraine but had to return back to India after Russian invasion, the National Medical Commission (NMC) on Tuesday notified that it has no objection to academic mobility programs that are being offered by universities in Ukraine to Indian medical students. Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is shaping the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on par with the roads in developed countries. Presently, the solar roof cycling track, widening of service roads, beautification by installing sculptures, development of lush greenery, construction of an a trumpet-shaped interchange at Neopolis Layout, and entry and exit ramps to connect ORR and nearby localities are underway. Hyderabad: NIA conducts raid at CMS convenor’s residence
Hyderabad: A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday conducted search at the Chaitanya Mahila Samakhya (CMS) convenor Jyothi’s residence. The NIA siezed certain books during the search operation and summoned her for questioning at its office. The raid was conducted in connection with a case registered against Radha, a nursing student from Visakhapatnam. Interacting with the media Jyothi said, officials questioned her about Radha’s recruitment by the Maoists. However, she denied all links with the student. The NIA questioned the convenor regarding the CMS membership. Raids were also conducted at residences of CMS leader Anitha in Hanamkonda and another activist in Andhra Pradesh’s Krishna district.
