Hyderabad: 10K sanitation workers to work for Ganesh immersion

Hyderabad: City mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi said that for Ganesh immersion on September 9, around 10,000 sanitation workers, 280 cranes along with 100 swimmers with boats will be employed at all the water bodies in the city. On Saturday, in a review meeting of Ganesh Immersion, the city Mayor directed the Zonal Commissioners, police, TSSPDCL, HMWS&SB and other departments to make all the needed arrangements for the immersion. According to the Mayor’s directions, at every 3 to 4 km there should be 25 sanitation employees, and around 14 volunteers will operate each crane for 24 hours in three shifts. Hyderabad likely to receive rainfall till September 8

Hyderabad: India Meteorological Department (IMD) Hyderabad on Sunday forecasted that the city will receive rainfall till September 8. As per the forecast, apart from light to moderate rainfall, many areas of Hyderabad are also likely to witness intense spells. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are expected to be in the range of 31-33 degrees Celsius and 22-23 degrees Celsius respectively. Telangana to add 50 MW solar capacity through rooftop model

Hyderabad: TSDTCL seizes Snow World after it fails to pay Rs 16 Cr

Hyderabad: Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (TSTDCL) on Thursday confiscated an amusement park Snow World in lower tank bund for failing to pay the lease rent and other fees, which totalled Rs 16.70 crore. TSTDCL officials closed the entrance and shuttered the property of Snow World and prevent public entry. According to an official from TSTDCL, the amusement park won’t be open to the public until the administration has paid all outstanding debts. Telangana: Over 60K private school students transfer to govt schools

Hyderabad: Around 65,830 students of II to X grade transferred from private schools to enrol in government schools for the academic year 2022-23, in Telangana. According to the details of students that were recorded at the School Education Department for this year 2022-23 more than 60 thousand students have transferred from private school to government, as of September 1. In Hyderabad, 10,278 students transferred from private to government schools, the highest number of transfers in the state, followed by Ranga Reddy district with 8,503 transfers, and Medchal district with 7930 students who transferred to public schools for this academic year.
