Those above 18 years must register to vote by Jan 1: Hyderabad DEO
Hyderabad: According to the Special Summary Revision 2023, everyone who has crossed the age of 18 years must register to vote by January 1, Hyderabad District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner said in a statement. In case of registration of a new voter, those who have completed 18 years of age or whose name is not on the voter list should register online on the website through Form 6. Those whose names are already registered in the electoral roll should register through Form 6B. At the time of this registration, both (new voters and those who are already named on the voter list) also can provide an Aadhaar card, only if they want to link it. Tight security in Hyderabad in view of bandh over Raja Singh’s arrest
Hyderabad:Hyderabad police have tightened security in parts of the Goshamahal constituency in view of a shutdown called on Saturday by supporters of suspended BJP MLA T. Raja Singh to protest his arrest. The Sriram Yuva Sena gave the call for the day-long bandh in the constituency to protest his arrest and slapping the Preventive Detention (PD) Act against him. Police beefed up security in Begum Bazar, Goshamahal, Mangalhat and surrounding areas to prevent any untoward incident. Rebate in fares of Hyd-Vijayawada, Hyd-Bengaluru bus services
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced a rebate of 10 per cent in the fares of Garuda and Rajadhani bus services between Hyderabad-Vijayawada, Hyderabad-Bengaluru till the month-end. According to a statement issued here on Friday, a rebate of 10 per cent on Garuda Plus and Rajadhani services between Hyderabad-Vijayawada will be offered on all days except on Fridays and Sundays. Similarly, the rebate will be offered on Hyderabad-Bengaluru Garuda services except on the service from Bengaluru to Hyderabad on Fridays and the service from Hyderabad to Bengaluru on Sundays. World Trade Center Shamshabad Interim Office inaugurated
The World Trade Center (WTC) Shamshabad Interim Office was inaugurated on Thursday by Scott Wang, World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) Asia-Pacific Vice President, at Kapil Kavuri Hub in the Financial District in Hyderabad. WTC Shamshabad and Visakhapatnam chairman Y Varaprasad Reddy, Director Akhilesh Mahurkar and Associate Director Srujana Chadalawada were present. The Phase I of WTC Shamshabad is expected to be ready by 2025 end. It will be about 15 lakh sq ft and will employ about 5,000 to 8,000 people. This Phase will see an investment of Rs 500-750 crore. Hyderabad sees rise in retail leasing in H1
Retail leasing in Hyderabad’s malls strengthened in the first half of this year, led by domestic brands. The city recorded absorption of about 2.4 lakh sft in investment-grade malls and high streets, said real estate consulting firm CBRE South Asia in its ‘CBRE India Retail Figures H1 2022’. According to the report, the retail space supply in the city was at 3.7 lakh sft during the first six months. With improving sentiments towards offline stores, space take-up increased across malls on a half-yearly basis. Leasing was driven by fashion and apparel brands with a 35 per cent share in total absorption, followed by entertainment (34 per cent) and consumer electronics (10 per cent). Swiggy responds to customer’s ‘don’t want Muslim delivery person’ message
Days after the Swiggy customer’s message mentioning that his order should not be delivered by a Muslim delivery boy triggered controversy, the food aggregator responded stating that they are attempting to validate the authenticity of the screenshot. Hyderabad: 74 pools prepared for Ganesh Chaturthi immersion
Hyderabad: In preparation for Ganesh Visarjan, 74 pools are being prepared by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for immersion. In some places, along with ponds and small lakes, specially made temporary artificial pools have been set up. Permanent ‘immersion pools,’ specially designed for the yearly rituals, were previously constructed by GHMC in 28 areas. They are ready for use with minor repairs, said the corporation.
