    Lucky escape for Ponguleti as car tyres burst in Telangana’s Khammam

    The incident occurred at Tirumalayapalem when the Revenue Minister was returning to Khammam from Warangal Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy had a narrow escape on Sunday evening after two tyres of the car in which he was travelling in burst while he was on his way to Khammam. However, the alert car driver managed to bring the car under control. The incident occurred at Tirumalayapalem when the Minister was returning to Khammam from Warangal. The security personnel, accompanying the Minister, heaved a sigh of relief. MLA Tellam Venkat Rao and others were also in the car, it is learnt.

    Hyderabad Metro phase 2: Six new stations planned between LB Nagar and Hayathnagar

    Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) said the 7.1 km corridor VIII is proposed to have stations at Chintalkunta, Vanasthalipuram, Autonagar, Lecturers’ Colony, RTC Colony and Hayat Nagar Hyderabad: The proposed Metro Rail expansion in the second phase between LB Nagar and Hayathnagar is proposed to have six stations. In a tweet posted on Sunday, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) said the 7.1 km corridor VIII is proposed to have stations at Chintalkunta, Vanasthalipuram, Autonagar, Lecturers’ Colony, RTC Colony and Hayat Nagar. These stations, locations and names are tentative and could undergo change. The HMRL also said with the proposed extension of the metro rail till Patancheru and to Hayat Nagar will ensure a seamless connectivity from the north-west end of the city to the south-east end.     Five of family miraculously escape crash on Vijayawada-Eluru highway

    Family was on their way to Andhra Pradesh when speeding vehicle coming in the wrong direction rams their car; all five, including two children, injured Hyderabad: A family of five people travelling in a car had a providential escape when another speeding vehicle rammed their vehicle at the Gannavaram bypass road on the Vijayawada-Eluru highway on Saturday. The family of Shiva Prasad, who works with a noted company at Sangareddy district, was on their way to Andhra Pradesh when the other vehicle came in the wrong direction at high speed and rammed their car. The car was badly damaged in the mishap. All five occupants of the car, including two children aged 10 and two, sustained injuries and were rushed to hospital where they are undergoing treatment. The police reached the spot and, after preliminary inquiry, registered a case. The injured are recuperating in the hospital.
