Ahead of Karnataka polls, Rahul Gandhi alleges BJP state government ‘immersed in corruption’
A ddressing a rally in Kolar, a city in the southwest Indian state of Karnataka, former MP Rahul Gandhi slammed the BJP-led centre for not providing due representation to the OBCs (Other Backward Classes) in government jobs. Kolar is the site of the infamous, controversial speech from 2019 that recently got Gandhi disqualified as a member of Parliament (MP) last month. Israeli protests over legal overhaul show no signs of slowing
Israeli demonstrations against the government’s plan to overhaul the judiciary have continued on Saturday, despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to pause the contentious proposals. Tens of thousands of people participated in the main protest held in the central city of Tel Aviv, while smaller demonstrations took place across the country. At least eleven people have died, while 50 were taken to the hospital after over 120 people suffered from heat-related health issues due to sun exposure on Sunday during the Maharashtra Bhushan award ceremony in Navi Mumbai’s Kharghar.
