Hyderabad: Cyber security experts on Wednesday urged people to be more vigilant and proactive in taking preventive measures and avoid becoming victims of cybercrimes. On the concluding-day of the two-day conclave on Cyber Security SHIELD 2025 at HICC on Wednesday, experts acknowledged that society at large is fast moving towards complete digitisation.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General of Police (DGP), Telangana State, Jitender said that innocent people are losing money in cyber frauds. “We must ensure that their hard-earned money is not lost,” he said.
Telangana State pioneered in cyber security by establishing Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) with a mission to create a secure digital environment through transparent, unbiased, and efficient practices, he added.
The conclave witnessed the representation of 1000 delegates from 14 states and featured talks, panel discussions and workshops. Special Chief Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Jayesh Ranjan, on the occasion, advised startups to focus on cybersecurity. “Do not think cybersecurity is only for big companies and tech giants. A data breach could cost your newly founded business dearly, hurt and jeopardise your future,” he said.
