EV&DM conducts inspections and issues notices to several establishments in the city

HYDERABAD: The Directorate of Enforcement, Vigilance and Disaster Management (EV&DM) and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Saturday inspected several shops, hospitals, commercial establishments and godowns for fire safety measures and found inflammable material and scrap scraps and cylinders stored there.

The officials gave notices to several establishments to remove them: Tirumala Hongkong Bazaar, Dmart, Mayfair Complex, Canara Bank building, Lucky Restaurant,

Butterfly Hospital, Alluri Commercial Complex, Krishna Complex.

Some establishments at Secunderabad, SD Road, near Hanuman temple, Anandnagar Colony were given notices as were those in New Malakpet, Guttala Begumpet, Madhapur, Rethibowli, Inner Ring Ring, Mehdipatnam.

Others issued notice were Bhagyanagar Colony in KPHB, HMT, Shathavahananagar; Madinaguda: Ashok Complex (Diamond Park Hotel), South India Shopping Mall, Sri Vengamamba Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd. (Hotel SVM Grand); Nagole: Damro Furniture, Adarsha Motors; Dilsukhnagar: KLM Fashion Mall, Vijetha Navarathan Trade Centre; Mehdipatnam: Chennai Silks, behind Inguva Towers, RRL Trends (Reliance Trends Building), Chennai Shopping Mall; Champapet main road: Trends Shopping Mall and SVRS Neeladri Apartment

They were asked to rectify to vacate the cellars, remove material which may cause a fire mishap, to remove obstructions to the fire exits, provide fire fighting equipment and smoke detectors and to follow fire, mitigation measures, etc., to keep setbacks free from parking.

Showcause notices were issued to Ishtaa, a vegetarian restaurant situated at Hitec City Main Road, for running without obtaining occupancy certificate and fire NoC.

The officials sealed Zythum Brewing Co. for running bar and restaurant without obtaining occupancy certificate and fire NoC; their explanation was found not satisfactory.
