Hyderabad: Swathi Nelabhatla, Founder and CEO of SheJobs, has been named to the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women North America Class of 2024, becoming the only Indian to receive this prestigious recognition. The award recognises her journey from rural India to empowering women and minorities, particularly mothers of children with disabilities, in both the USA and India.
Nelabhatla, who faced personal and professional challenges after relocating to the USA for her neurodiverse child’s medical care, turned her experience into a mission to support women facing discrimination in the workforce. SheJobs, her platform, offers job placements, returnship programs, and upskilling opportunities aimed at helping women and minorities achieve financial independence.
In response to the honor, Nelabhatla said, “It’s an honor to be named alongside 23 inspiring founders from across North America.” Her upcoming SheJobs app, launching in November 2024, will provide a marketplace for women to sell products and services, furthering the mission of creating opportunities for women globally.
