Hyderabad: In a murder-suicide incident, a woman attempted to die by suicide by consuming poisonous substance and also gave it to her four-year-old girl in Bachupally. While the child died under treatment on Sunday, the woman is battling for life in the hospital.
As per available information, the woman identified as Namburi Krishna Pavani (32) lives with her husband Sambasiva Rao and daughter Jeswika (4) at an apartment in Aditya Garden in Bachupally.
Krishna Pavani has been facing health problems for the past few years. Though she was undergoing treatment, there has been no improvement in her condition.
Upset over it, she decided to end her life. She mixed poisonous substance in soft drink and drank it and also gave it to her daughter on April 18. Following which, the mother and daughter fell ill. Krishna Pavani, who was scared of her husband, only informed him the next day.
Sambasiva Rao, immediately informed the Bachupally police and shifted her to a private hospital in KPHB Colony for treatment.
While the mother was undergoing treatment in the ICU emergency ward of the hospital, Jeswika’s condition deteriorated and on Sunday morning, she was shifted to another private hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment.
The Bachupally police have registered a case and are investigating.
