‘It’s Indian Cinema’s Victory’, Allu Arjun On Winning His First Award For Pushpa From The North

Allu Arjun has had a glorious career in the entertainment industry for over two decades. He has been a south superstar and now, a global one. His recent film Pushpa: The Rise was released pan-India and broke the boundaries of north and south. The film is also credited for reviving the loss in the cinema business due to the pandemic. Now the Arya star has been honoured in the north and Allu can’t keep calm with his excitement.

“Indian cinema, India kabhi jhukega nahin”, said Allu Arjun during his speech at the CNN-News18 Indian of the Year 2022 awards that was held in Delhi.

“I’ve been working in the film industry for 20 years now. I’ve received many awards in the south, this is the first time I’m ever receiving an award from the north so it’s very special for me,” Arjun said. He further commented on the north-south debate expressing that after all his film, Pushpa was an Indian film, and he’s glad to have serviced the entertainment industry with it.

Arjun who debuted with 2003’s Gangotri added, “I am very glad that we do have our differences… like north and south… but you know the beauty of this country is the diversity. When this movie was made, it was celebrated by India, so we are all sons and daughters of the Indian film industry. We’re proud that it’s Indian cinema’s victory and that we could provide service to the country with entertainment in these tough times”. Recently, Allu Arjun was also honoured at SIIMA 2022 for his performance in Pushpa.

Pushpa 2 in making

Director Sukumar has started prepping up for the franchise’s second edition Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film will reportedly go on floors by the end of October and shall see Rashmika Mandanna returning with her popular character of Srivalli. In a byte given last month, Rashmika hinted at joining the shoot post-release of her Bollywood debut film, Goodbye.

“After one, even two and three months (post the film’s release), people kept messaging us. We didn’t anticipate the madness of the film, but we knew that we had done something right.” The creator of this film’s mad music, DSP is also excited to bring back another ‘chartbuster album’, as he claims.

“I have already started working on Pushpa 2, little of it we had already done while doing part one. We now properly sat on the dialogue version. We also went to Europe recently and have almost finished three songs.” music director Devi Sri Prasad said, adding, “Rest of the songs are being worked upon. They are also going to start the main shoot now. We are sincerely trying our best, and I believe that will always save you. You should also not overdo; the right thing is to know how not to do the wrong thing”
