N.V.S.S : KTR inefficient to hold three portfolios

Hyderabad: BJP state vice-president N.V.S.S. Prabhakar accused minister K.T. Rama Rao of not extending cooperation for the speedy execution of work on the elevated corridor between Uppal and Narepally. Rama Rao had last week blamed the Centre for the slow pace of work, kicking up a row.

Speaking to reporters here at the state party office on Tuesday, Prabhakar, a former Uppal MLA, said that he was surprised to see posters with pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi pasted on the pillars of the project, questioning the delay in the construction of the flyover.

“The delay is due to the inefficiency of KTR who grossly failed to cooperate with the Central authority in acquiring land and other related flyover works,” Prabhakar alleged.

The posters were pasted on the pillars at midnight. After realising their mistake, they posters were removed, Prabhakar alleged and held the GHMC, under the municipal administration ministry, responsible for the delay.

Prabhakar asked whether or not the shifting of electricity poles, water and sewage lines had not been delayed. He alleged that Rama Rao had no control on municipal administration and there are 28 structures that have to be acquired for carrying out the flyover works.

The Centre is according much importance to building infrastructure in every state and the Narendar Modi government had sanctioned more funds for 23 national highway projects in Telangana state, Prabhakar explained. He called Rama Rao the most ineffective and inefficient minister and challenged him to join a public review of the works of the municipal administration, IT and industries ministries.
