NEET UG exam ends on a smooth note, students hopeful of good scores

HYDERABAD: Aspiring doctors heaved a sigh of relief after appearing for NEET UG 2023, for which they had toiled for around two years, in around 24 centres across the state Sunday afternoon.
The question paper divided into biology (botany plus zoology), physics and chemistry carried 720 marks overall.
Most of the students found the biology section to be easier but the physics and chemistry sections moderate.
Dania Hanif from Santosh Nagar said it was her first attempt and the experience was overwhelming, although having written well, she expects a good score.
Saurabh Soni from Kagaznagar said, “The question paper was moderate. Botany and zoology took a longer time as the section was lengthy. There were more questions on organic chemistry in the chemistry section. Some students found the physics part to be tough. I am expecting a good score”.
Hana Fatima said she was happy to have finally appeared for the exam after two years of preparations. She said, “Everything went off smoothly. The invigilators were very supportive and helped us by clarifying our doubts”.
Muskaan Lalwani said that she was a bit scared during the exam as she saw a large number of students competing alongside. She managed to do well.
Meanwhile, parents, many of whom, like S. Madhavi from Nacharam, waited outside the exam centres all tensed up, were worrying how their children would fare in their first attempt.
Sayed Hanif, whose daughter was appearing for the exam, said “I am tensed as the exam is one of the toughest ones. Moreover, even after scoring well, getting admission in a good college remains a challenge.”
They will be on tenterhooks till the time results are out, opined many candidates and their parents.
