The MLC questioned in connection with raid at his farmhouse in Tolkatta, where cock-fight betting was busted
Hyderabad: MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy appeared before the Moinabad police in connection with a case booked against him on Friday.
The police questioned him in connection with the raid at his farmhouse in Tolkatta village in February, when cock-fight betting was busted and 64 persons were arrested at the premises.
Srinivas Reddy had earlier told the police that he had leased the farmhouse. The lease documents have also been handed over to the police. However, on Thursday, another notice was issued asking him to appear for questioning as there were doubts about the lease documents.
On Friday, Srinivas Reddy appeared before the police and answered their queries.
A case has already been registered against Srinivas Reddy under sections of the Gaming Act and Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
