Police grant permission for BRS silver jubilee meeting in Telangana’s Warangal

Following directives from Warangal Commissioner of Police, Kazipet Rural ACP issues necessary permission for the event

Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is all set to celebrate its silver jubilee with a grand meeting scheduled for April 27 in Elkathurthy, Warangal. The event was officially accorded police permission on Saturday.

Elaborate arrangements are being made for the occasion, which will mark a significant milestone in the party’s 25-year journey.

Following directives from Warangal Commissioner of Police, Kazipet Rural ACP issued the necessary permission for the event. Former MLAs Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, Vinay Bhaskar, and Odithala Satish Kumar collected the official documents, ensuring smooth preparations for the prestigious celebration.

In the past, the BRS faced hurdles in obtaining permissions for their meetings under the Congress government. The party has often been relying on court interventions to organize such event in the face opposition from the Congress government. In the backdrop of such experiences, the party approached the High Court to secure approval for this landmark event.

With police permission now granted, the BRS is set to withdraw its case from the High Court.

This silver jubilee meeting symbolises the party’s resilience and growth over the years. The party cadres and functionaries from all over the State are gearing up to commemorate its 25-year legacy in a big way with pride.
