Telangana: Ticket issuing machines develop snags, services of TGRTC halted in Mancherial

Mancherial: Services of TGRTC came to a grinding halt with i-TIMS (Intelligent Ticket Issue Machine), an Android-based device meant for issuing tickets, developing technical snags across the district, causing inconvenience to thousands of passengers on Sunday.
Officials said that the machines used by conductors developed some technical snag from 3 am to 6 am. As a result, the conductors were unable to issue tickets to passengers, resulting in inconvenience to the passengers travelling in the buses to various destinations. The conductors reportedly expressed inability to address the challenge.
Mancherial depot manager S Janardhan said that the database and servers of the TIMS had some issues. However, the problem was detected and rectified by 6 am. The conductors were now able to give the tickets using the machines. Services of the corporation were restored, he explained.
It is learnt that some other depots in different parts of Telangana witnessed the same problem.
