Three killed as bus rams into tractor in Telangana

Hyderabad: Three persons were killed when a bus rammed into a tractor on Hyderabad-Bangalore highway in Telangana’s Wanaparthy district, early on Monday. Garuda bus of Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), which was on its way from Hyderabad to Bangalore, collided with a sugarcane-laden tractor from the rear side near Mummalapalli in Kottakota mandal. Two persons died on the spot while one succumbed to his injuries at the government hospital at Wanaparthy. According to police, the bus driver, cleaner and a passenger were killed while 15 others were injured. The deceased were identified as Anjaneyulu (42), Sandeep (35) and Shivanna (56). Hyderabad: Traffic advisory issued for Sunday in view of Indian Racing League event

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad traffic police has issued an advisory stating that the Khairatabad junction, Telugu Talli junction and IMAX Necklace Rotary and the stretch would be closed on Sunday in view of the Indian Racing League events. The stretch is being used as the city circuit for the races. Roads connecting to Mint Compound road would be closed. Police said motorists could take the road from Khairatabad junction via Shadan, Nirankari, Saifabad old police station and Iqbal Minar to the Telugu Talli flyover. Traffic will not be allowed towards Tank Bund from Iqbal Minar side, while vehicles from Tank Bund towards Iqbal Minar will be allowed through. Water school launched at Hyderabad’s Durgam Cheruvu

Hyderabad: Training for children in a host of water sports has commenced at Durgam Cheruvu with the Water School here starting to train children above eight years in kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and stand-up paddle boarding. These activities are in addition to the sunset kayaking, which the facility offers as a leisure activity for those interested in water sports. Hanamkonda: One of the scenic locations near Hanamkonda, the Dharmasagar Reservoir is all set to become a major tourist hub in the district soon, thanks to the efforts of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA). As part of its plans for development of the spot, the KUDA is going to take up work on developing the bund, seating arrangements, lighting, landscaping and toilets at an estimated cost of Rs.2 crore in the first phase. “The work will commence soon. Hyderabad: Three children drown in pond at Gachibowli

Hyderabad: Three children drowned in a pond at Nanakaramguda Gachibowli on Saturday afternoon. According to the police, Deepak (12), Shahbaaz (15), and Pavan (13), all residents of Telecom Gachibowli went to Patelkunta tank located at Nanakramguda rotary around 3 pm to play. While playing near the pond the trio went inside for a swim. “None of them know how to swim and got drowned. Hyderabad: International departures at RGIA to be moved to main terminal

After the expansion is completed, the airport is likely to witness 3.4 crore passengers annually. Hyderabad: The International departure at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International airport (RGIA) is set to be moved on November 28. Earlier, there were separate terminals for national and international flights. Given the rush of passengers, a temporary terminal was set up on the right side of the airport for international passengers. Most of the procedures including Check-in, security, immigration, and customs checks were conducted there.  However, from now on, passengers will be sent to the main terminal. Zomato begins lay-offs, plans to cut workforce by 4 per cent
