Only imitated Munawar Faruqui: Raja Singh to BJP on Prophet comments
Hyderabad: Responding to the BJP’s Central Disciplinary Committee, suspended MLA from Goshamahal T Raja Singh said that he has not violated any of the party’s rules with regard to his comments on Prophet Muhammad. Singh in fact went on to say that his derogatory remarks were made as he “only imitated” comedian Munawar Faruqui. The committee in its notice dated August 23, 2022 sought an explanation after the police booked Raja Singh for making derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad, which led to widespread unrest and condemnation in Hyderabad. Hyderabad: IIL to invest Rs 700 cr for new animal vaccine facility
Hyderabad: Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) has announced it will open the “Vaccine Hub of the World” at a cost of Rs 700 crores here on Monday. Vaccination will be provided against economically important diseases such as Foot and Mouth disease (FMD) and other emerging diseases. IIL is one of the largest manufacturers of FMD vaccine in the world and is the leading supplier of FMD vaccine to the Government of India’s National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP). A new greenfield project for the establishment of a Veterinary Vaccine Facility is being established by IIL. The project will manufacture FMD and other animal diseases. KCR to attend Mulayam Singh Yadav’s funeral tomorrow
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will attend the funeral of Samajwadi Party founder late Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday. KCR will reach Saifai, Yadav’s native village in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday afternoon, a release by the Chief Minister’s Office said. He will pay his last respects to the departed leader and attend the funeral, it said. The three-time chief minister of UP died on Monday at a hospital in Gurugram after prolonged illness. He was 82. Telangana: Moderate rains expected across state till Oct 13
Hyderabad: Parts of Hyderabad received light rainfall on Monday and the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) has forecast rains for the next three days in the state. In the last 24 hours, districts including Adilabad, Mancherial, and Narayanpet experienced light rainfall. The forecast for the next 24 hours predicts very light rainfall in Jagtial, Mancherial, and Peddapalli whereas Nalgonda, Suryapet, and Khammam are expected to receive light rainfall. In the Great Hyderabad region, Qutbulllapur is expected to receive light rainfall, while most areas including Shaikpet, and Maredpally, Secunderabad are expected to receive very light rainfall. The maximum temperature in GHMC is expected to hover between 30-32 degrees, while the minimum temperature is expected to be 20 degrees.

Delhi excise policy scam: CBI arrests Hyderabad-based bizman
New Delhi: In a latest development in connection with Delhi excise policy scam involving Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday made a second arrest. Telangana government spent Rs 6,669 crore towards healthcare in last 18 months
Undeterred by the lack of support from the Centre, the Telangana government in the last 18 months has spent a staggering Rs 6,669 crore towards development of speciality healthcare facilities in district hospitals, establishing 16 medical colleges and a superspecialty Warangal Health City. To ensure specialty healthcare facilities are available in government district hospitals, the State government is in the process of upgrading eight major district hospitals, apart from constructing new medical colleges that will be attached to them. Hyderabad: Historic Mir Alam Mandi to be restored
The oldest and the most spacious market of Hyderabad, Mir Alam Mandi in the old city is all set to get a touch of development while retaining its aura. The initiative of restoring the historic market will be taken up by the Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA) at an estimated cost of Rs 10.50 crore.
