Three children drown in a water tank at Shadnagar

Three children drowned in a tank at Shadnagar in the Rangareddy district on Sunday. According to the police, the three children Fareed, Fareez, and Akshit Goud, had gone to the village outskirts to play and swim in the village tank when all of them drowned. All three children were residents of Shadnagar. On receiving information, the police reached the spot and retrieved the bodies from the tank. A case has been booked. More details are awaited. Source

Hyderabad sees dip in fire accidents

The State Fire Department’s Hyderabad Division received a total of 645 calls, including 7 serious calls in the last eight months. The fire personnel took up 17 rescue operations and saved the lives of 14 persons and while they could save property worth Rs.28.10 crore, property worth Rs.7.4 crore was damaged. Compared to last year, the fire and emergency calls in Hyderabad have seen a dip this year until August 2022. While a total of 7,327 calls were received last year, this year the number was recorded at 645, which is a remarkable drop. Hyderabad: CBI conducts raids on child pornography transmitters

Hyderabad: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted searches in Hyderabad as part of Operation Megh Chakra in connection with two instances involving the downloading and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). After registering two cases under the IT Act based on information obtained from Crime Against Children (CAC), a section of Interpol, Singapore, which had received the same from New Zealand police, the CBI conducted searches at 59 sites in 21 states. It was claimed that several Indian nationals were involved in the distribution, downloading, and transmission of CSAM using cloud-based storage. Hyderabad: Engineer duped of over Rs 5 lakh in crypto fraud

Hyderabad: In a recent case of bitcoin investment fraud, cybercriminals duped a city-based software engineer out of Rupees 5.8 lakh. According to Rachakonda cyber crime officials, the 40-year-old man stated that on September 13 he joined an unidentified Telegram group called “Fastcoin Mining” that purported to be interested in cryptocurrency investments. After seeing the gains achieved by other users, he contacted the Telegram group identified only as Brian McCauley (ID: @Braiely), who pretended to be a crypto analyst and provided details on the investments. The victim registered at https://fastcoinmining.net purchased USDT cryptocurrency through an app on Brian’s advice and then transferred the funds to the eWallet Brian recommended. Two, including one African national caught with drugs in Hyderabad

Two persons, including an African national, were caught allegedly for possession of psychotropic substance by a team consisting of Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing and local police in Langar Houz police on Friday. Officials seized 17 grams of MDMA (Methylenedioxy-N-methamphetamine), Rs.3, 000 in cash and 3 mobile phones, altogether worth Rs.2 lakh.
